This month Jacob attended two workshops at the Greenleaf Art Center.

At the first, we had a hands-on demonstration on stretching our own canvases. Jacob mastered the difficult classic technique of using a staple gun. After working very hard to complete one canvas, we both agreed that pre-stretched canvases are a bargain!

The program last night was a fabulous seminar by the engaging David DeRosa. He is a pop impressionist heading off to Prague to paint a mural for an international art show. David shared his experiences in getting his art into the marketplace. Like Jacob, he wants it to be enjoyed by as many people as possible. David also shared with Jacob the "secret" to solving a technical problem Jacob has been wrestling with.  Many thanks to David. We wish him safe travels. You can find his work at artprimadonna.net.
